Alabama’s 2021 recruiting class will be well represented on both sidelines at the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game on Dec. 12 from the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery, Ala. Players are set to arrive in Montgomery this afternoon to compete in the annual showcase. Here’s a look at which Bama commits will compete in the game.
Calloway shined on both sides of the ball throughout his senior season, following a junior year campaign that saw him picked off 12 passes. The four-star Magnolia State native is expected to sign with UA next week before enrolling next summer.
I love the intensity and pop Alabama commit Kadarius Calloway plays the game with whether that’s lining up in the secondary, at wide out and on special teams where he makes game-changing plays in all three aspects. Calloway is a punishing tackler. He closes quickly on the ball and arrives with violence. And that’s how he seems to run with it when the ball is in his hands, running into defenders and kind of launching them off him as he rolls for more yardage. We see Calloway makes plays downfield as a receiver, and he makes house calls in the return game. He doesn’t seem to lack burst when the ball is in his vicinity. There aren’t many players that show more physicality on tape than Calloway.
McKinstry is just a few days removed from helping Pinson Valley to a Class 6A state title win, a game in which the five-star corner hauled in a touchdown pass the put the game away fro the Indians. UA’s latest 2021 pledge had another strong showing his senior season, on both sides of the ball. He is set to sign with Bama next week and enroll next month.
Possesses a lean build with good length and stature for a cornerback. Tested as a good athlete prior to his junior season and should continue making progress on that front as he spends more time in the weight room over the next few years. In addition to the football field, shows his athleticism as an above-the-rim basketball player and one of the better hoopers in Alabama. Is an outstanding and productive two-way player on the gridiron, starring as a receiver and corner for Pinson Valley.
